All About Us
The Sandy Shore Property Owners Association (SSPOA) is located on Lake Wallenpaupack and was established in 1974. Its primary objective is to ensure the safety and welfare of the community, represent its interests, and establish regulations for the maintenance and use of common-use facilities. In 1985, the developer sold all common-use property to Locust Grove Company, and the updated Planned Community Act was passed in 1996, which made SSPOA the legal governing body of the Sandy Shore Community.
Membership
Membership in the association is limited to persons who own property in the Sandy Shore Development. Membership automatically begins upon purchasing a lot or home within the community.
Government
SSPOA is governed by its Officers, Board, and membership. It is guided by the organization's by-laws, rules, and regulations. SSPOA does not contract a management company. The annual assessment is mailed and collected by an outside billing service. SSPOA has the authority to impose penalties for late payment and non-payment of the assessment and violations of the rules and regulations.
